Arunachal Cultural Tour


Duration : 13 Days.

  • Day 1: Guwahati – Kaziranga N.P
    Received on your arrival at Guwahati in Assam and drive to Kaziranga National Park, the only grassland national park of India and the home of one horned Indian Rhino, the drive is of (235km/5hrs) and you will come across many small villages and small town on the way to the park. Afternoon check into resort at Kaziranga. Evening free. Overnight at Kaziranga.

  • Day 2: Kaziranga N.P
    Early morning take Elephant ride inside Central/Western range of the park, after breakfast drive on open jeep inside the Bagori (western) ranges of the National Park and post lunch visit the Kohora (central) range of the park for jeep safari. Evening free. Overnight at Kaziranga.

  • Day 3: Nameri
    On the third day, drive to Nameri (125km/3hrs), the smallest National Park of Assam, on the boarder of Western Arunachal Pradesh and Assam, famous for orchids and Hornbill. Check into Camp on arrival. Overnight at Nameri

  • Day 4: Itanagar
    Morning after breakfast drive to Itanagar, a day-long drive of approx 300 kms. Arrive late evening in Itanagar and check into hotel for overnight stay.

  • Day 6: Ziro
    After breakfast sightseeing of Ziro. Visit Bulla Village of Apatani Tribes, Tarin Fish Farm, Pine Groves etc. In the evening, enjoy the traditional cultural progamme. Dinner and Overnight.

  • Day 7: Daporijo
    After breakfast we will be proceed to Daporijo (175km/7hrs). Enroute we will visit TAGIN and HILL MIRI villages. On arrival check into Lodge. Afternoon the Meghna Cave Temple, some distance from Daporijo. Check into Circuit House/Lodge. Dinner and overnight.

  • Day 8: Daporijo-Along
    Early morning: Visit Lida village. Leave Daporijo for Along, visiting village Bora Rupak and other Galong villages enroute (157 kms/ approx. 8 hrs). Arrive Along and check-in at hotel. This is the area of the Adi Galo tribes. The population of Adis is more than any other tribe in Arunachal. They are nature worshippers and are the most dominant people of the Siang district. They are Mongoloid in race.

  • Day 9: Along
    After breakfast visit explore Gallong and Miniyong tribal villages like Kabu etc. Kabu village is just on the bank of river of Yomgo/Siyum and on river Yomgo there is hanging bridge made of cane and bamboo. Afternoon  visit one of the largest Gallong tribal village called Darka village which has more the 1500 houses made of bamboo and plam and if time permits visit Mithun and Jersey Cross Breeding Farm at Kamaki 25 kms from Along.

  • Day 10: Along -Pasighat
    In the morning drive from Along to Pasighat (115 kms/ approx. 5 hrs). The drive will be along the Siang River. Arrive Pasighat and check-in at hotel/Lodge/Guest House.

  • Day 11Pasighat
    After breakfast visit the village of the Passi Tribes. Post Lunch day free at your disposal.

  • Day 12: Pasighat - Dibrugarh
    In the morning visit nearby Adi Miniyong tribal village to see Tapu dance and Leave for Bogivil ghat (165 kms/ approx. 5 hrs) to board the boat to Dibrugarh. Leave for Dibrugah crossing the Bramhaputra river on a local passenger boat (approx. 1 hr) Reach the bank of the Brahmaputra near Dibrugarh and transfer to your hotel in Dibrugarh town. Rest of the day free (car will be at disposal) Ferry over Brahmapurtra River Overnight in Dibrugarh

  • Day 13: Pasighat-Dibrugarh Departure
    After breakfast we start our journey to Dibrugarh. Along the way we will cross the mighty Brahmaputra river by ferry. On arrival at Dibrugarh you will be transfered to the airport for your flight back home.

Tribes of Arunachal


 Duration : 11 Days.

  • Day 01: Dibrugarh- Roing
    Morning after breakfast drive to Roing. Roing is the district headquarter of Lower Dibang valley district. We will cross one of the biggest river in the world the mighty Brahmaputra on ferry (engine boat) continue drive to Roing, on the way visit some Adi Padam tribal villages. Overnight Circuit house.

  • Day 02: Roing-Pasighat
    Morning drive to Pasighat enroute visit the village of Aoahali of Idu-Mishmi tribe and Mebo village of Adi-Padam tribe cross Siang river which flow from Mansorover in western Himalaya flow into Tibet as the Tsangpo river traveling for over 1700 kms enters into India and becomes the Siang River. Overnight Hotel.

  • Day 03: Pasighat-Along (300m): (101 kms/ 05 hours)
    Along is the headquarter of West Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh located at an altitude of 300m are the inhabitants of Adi (Gallong) tribes. Adi has different sub tribe, which differ from each other's like Adi (Gallong, Minyong, Pasi, Padam, Bori, and Bokar). Interesting visit enroute would be the hanging bridge on the Siang river locally made of cane and bamboo around 70 meters long connecting to the others hill tribes. Overnight Hotel.

  • Day 04 Along - Daporijo (600m) (168 kms/ 8 hrs)
    Daporijo is the headquarter of the Upper Subansiri district of Arunachal Pradesh located at an altitude of 600m is an inhabitant of Tagin tribe, theirs faces which resembles to Chinese. Interesting town to walk around and explore.

  • Day 05: Daporijo-Ziro (1560m) (160 kms/ 07 hrs)
    Enroute you can have visit of Hillmiri tribal villages at Raga (Nishi, Hillmiri and Tagin tribe are more or less similar in their culture customs, tradition, and also slight similarity in their dialogue). Evening visit the local market. Overnight  Resort.

  • Day 06: Ziro
    Ziro is the district headquarter of Lower Subansiri district of Arunachal Pradesh and is a plateau surrounded by Apatani tribe, Hong village are to be counted as second biggest and most organised tribal villages in Asia. The uniqueness of Apatani tribe is tooting in women face and its nose plug, which you will find different from the other tribe. Fish cum paddy culture is another interesting if you visit in the month of August -October. You can visit Tarin Fish farm, museum, emporium and local market. Overnight Resort.

  • Day 07: Ziro - Itanagar (550m) (167 kms/ 05 hrs)
    The capital city of Arunachal is a modern settlement built in the vicinity of the ruin of the 14th century fort old capital. The archaeological remains of this medieval capital comprises of two brick wall ramparts. Itanagar has extremely interesting museum known as Jawaharlal Nehru Museum, time spent here can really acquaint you with the culture and tradition of this region. All prototype of the bamboo and cane architecture of dwelling of different tribes and apparel, design and functional tools and others handicrafts are display here. There is also a Buddhist temple nearby for those interested for some quiet moments. Overnight Abor Mansion.

  • Day 08: Itanagar - Kaziranga (260 kms/ 07 hrs)
    Morning drive to Kaziranga National Park, upon arrival overnight stay in the Resort in the park.

  • Day 09: Kaziranga
    Early morning go for elephant safari in the national park to have a closer look of the great Indian One-horned Rhinoceros. Located on the banks of the Brahmaputra River, Kaziranga National Park, with its swamps and tall thickets of elephant grass, makes it the ideal habitat for the Indian one-horned rhinoceros. Declared a National Park in 1974, the swamplands and flood plains also harbour a wide variety of birds and reptiles. In 1999, the World Wildlife Fund-Tiger Conservation Programme (WWF-TCP) chose the Park for the millennium award for the second time in succession, for being one of the best-managed parks in the country come back for breakfast and later go for Jeep Safari, evening Assamese cultural show organized by the Resort.   • Day: 10: Kaziranga - Guwahati(260 kms/ 06 hrs):
    Visit the famous Khamakya Devi Temple, a Hindu temple,and one of the holiest site for the Hindus to visit. It is believed that no wishes goes unfulfilled if made at the Temple and also the headquarter of Hindu Tantrikism, visit State Museum.Overnight at the hotel.

  • Day 11: Guwahati
    Morning transfer to airport to connect flight for onward journey.
